Cappella belongs to that type of band, whose name represents the work of many, many people: The producers, the musicians, the DJs and the vocalist. The name Cappella refers to Italian Renaissance Frescos and Chapels, and was chosen to emphasise the idea of rebirth. Just as the period of Renaissance is linked to the idea of the rebirth of culture, Cappella's house music is linked to the idea of the rebirth of Eurodance music. It was the great idea of Gianfranco Bortolotti who, in 1987, led the Media team to create the track "Bauhaus/Push The Beat", which had great success in clubs all over the world, entering many of the European charts, including the UK Top 50! The first breakthrough for Cappella. About a year later the track "Helyom Halib" was released, which turned out to be a major stormer, reaching very high positions in various international charts, including the UK Top 10. This chronicle of huge success was to continue with such massive tunes as "House Of Alkali", "Be Master In One's Own House", "House Energy Revenge", "Get Out of My Case" and "The Rotation Of The House".

The next Song "Take Me Away" had huge success due to the sampling of Loleatta Holoway vocals from her very own 1980 disco classic "Love Sensation". Their success was to see rapid growth with the release of the single "U Got 2 Know" early in '93 which went Top 10 in the UK and Germany, and Top 30 all over Europe. The first major European success for Cappella. The next two years saw one success after another, the biggest triumph being "U Got 2 Let The Music", which found its way to the top spot in many of the European charts! But things had only just begun. The Ace of Cappella tracks was undoubtedly "Move On Baby". Released in 1994, its powerful, racey and melodic theme took it to number one in the UK, the Euro Sales Chart and a number of other countries! Following that, Media released the dance floor's most eagerly awaited album of the year, "U Got 2 Know". From the album, "U & Me" and "Move It Up" were released in 1994 and "Don’t be Proud" were released in 1995 at Neaderlands and Scandinavia.

The year 1995 brought some changes on the leader of Cappella. Kelly Overett left the group to start a career on her own. Kellys first and up to now only solo Song “Follow Your Heart” (interpreter name Kelly o) could unfortunately achieve no large successes and was only in Great Britain published. Since then it became very quiet around it. Besides it is whispered that Kelly was only selected around Cappella a face to give and never a Cappella track sang. If one sounds oneself “Follow Your Heart” or live-appearances of Cappella, one can clearly recognize differences to the voice, which is to be heard on the CDs. Perhaps this was also the reason that Kelly left Cappella.

In the summer 1995 Allison Jordan, the successor of Kelly Overett came into the band. She came over a Casting to the act. The Song "Tell Me The Way" was published which had great, and well deserved, success in the Italian official charts, and a large number of other countries. In January 1996 Cappella released "I Need Your Love" it immediately climbed up the club and sales charts. In the summer of 1996 they released their second album called "War In Heaven". "War In Heaven" could not book unfortunately same success as his "U Got 2 Know" predecessor. Out "War In Heaven" became the Songs "Turn It Up And Down" (1996) and "Do You Run Away Now" (1997, only in Scandinavia) release.

With "Be My Baby" 1997 a new Singel was published, to give with one the tried Cappella another music style. This time without Raps of Rodney, on the Cover also nothing more was to be seen and rumors of its with drawal made the round by it. In November then "U Tore My World Apart". There were to be heard again Raps by him (MC Fixx It). Cappella's third album was only published 1998 in Japan. It contains 12 different Songs, under it also slower numbers, and simply only "Cappella" was called. From this album "Throwin´Away" (MP3) and "Walkin´Away" (Vinyl) are releast in Japan as Singles.

In November a Remix of "U Got 2 Let The Music" had followed. The Maxi is contained "Leave It", a never published Track. At the end of of 1998, "U R The Power Of Love" got published in Germany. Cappella could not tie since 1995 no more to their old successes. And 1999 confirmed Gianfranco Bortolotti from of Cappella. It would worry Cappella, if it finds time for the project, was to be read. With this end of Cappella Allison Jordan and Rodney Bishop left the act as well.

In October 2000 rumors of a Comeback of Cappella came up. With Media record ,Italy, the following lines were to be read: "The Return Of The Media Star” From Media Recording Studios is ready a new bumper sound, emblematic for the history of dance music: the new Cappella single. The title is unknown but the style is very happy energy massive. Stay in tune for other Cappella news." This message was however again fast retaken very. In the year 2001, a promo was publishedof a new edition of the Song "U & Me". Howeve, the single wasn`t trade. In the summer of 2002, a new single got published! A Remix was published of "U Got 2 Know" as Vinly. The CD publication took place at the beginning of October 2002.

In the summer 2004 the new Song "Angel" was released. In this song old Rapps parts of “M.C. Fixx it” integrates. Unfortunately "Angel" could not tie to large successes. A placement in the charts besides was not reached. To 13.12.2004 Remix appeared and which Song could tie old successes earliest? Exactly: U Got 2 Let The Music. After the new edition of the 1996er-Albums "War In Heaven" later the next album of Cappella, which in June 2005 VÖ became, followed only scarcely two months. This mark concerned it a "Best Of" with us admitted itself Songs. In adittion to this, a DVD was published. In the year 2006 "U Got 2 Let The Music Remix” in the row golden Dance Classics by ZYX Music got published again. At the end of October 2006 the album "Greatest Hits" followed.
